The index is a list of list of names, subjects, ect. so it would be index

The table of contents gives you the name of the chapters and the page number. The appendix tells you things about the topic of the book and the index gives you an alphabet list of names found in the book so the answer is Index

Narrative is the choice of which events to relate and in what order to relate them. From this I would say that you could look for parts in the story where certain language is used and words that are used that fit the “gothic” part of the story. Search for words that connects to that.
