A. More phagocytes and lymphocytes are needed to fight the infection.

Phagocytes and lymphocytes are basically the white blood cells in our body that are used to fight off infections and diseases. Naturally, your body would want to create more to close up a wound if you got a simple cut, but to have that become infected or for you to generally have an infection, there's going to be a larger demand for them. Diseases and infections bring bacteria and foreign invaders into your body, so you will want more phagocytes and lymphocytes to fight them all off and return back to your health.

PLEASE HELP TO SOLVE IT I HAVE AN EXAM !!!
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

64

Explanation:

Since the cell has two chromosomes and a diploid number of 2, in each generation, the cell doubles. In the first generation, we have two cells, in the second generation, we have 2 × 2 cells ,in the third generation, we have 2 × 2 × 2 cells. It follows that we have 2ⁿ cells in each generation where n represents the generation.

So, in the fifth generation, n = 5, so the number of cells is 2⁵ =  32.

Since we have 2 chromosomes in each cell, the number of chromosomes in the 32 cells in the 5th generation is 2 × 32 = 64 chromosomes.
