konstantin123 [22]

The rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) is is a series of flattened sacs connected to ribosomes. The Golgi Apparatus is an organelle composed of flattened stacked pouches known as cisternae.

In this case, the missing words indicate:

 • Specifically, this organelle is attached on the ROUGH ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM (RER) which will help to modify and package the polypeptide product.
 • It puts it into a transport vesicle to be sent over to the GOLGI APPARATUS to add molecular tags and sort it, like a post office.

 • The RER is required for the production and secretion of different hormones and proteins.

 • The Golgi apparatus plays fundamental roles associated with the transport, modification, and packaging of proteins and lipids into vesicles, which are subsequently delivered to specific cellular destinations.

 • Both the RER and Golgi apparatus form part of the endomembrane system.

Which can adapt to changes A. alleles B. population C. offspring D. individuals
Delvig [45]
I would say individuals can adapt to change as this agrees with the theory of natural selection that in any species there are varieties and these can consist of individuals that are better adapted to the environmental conditions so they will thrive and propogate themselves and can result in a new species.

Describe what happens to a meal of oily beans and maize from the time of ingestion up to the time of aborption
alexgriva [62]

Food is chewed and mixed by the teeth and tongue before being rolled into boluses by peristalsis and entering the stomach through the cardiac sphincter. In the stomach, gastric juice contains pepsinogen, which is activated to pepsin, which breaks down proteins in beans into shorter peptides. Finally, food is churned and allowed into the duodenum via the pyloric sphincter muscle. Finally, bile Trypsin breaks down proteins into shorter peptides, and pancreatic juice, which is released by the pancreas, contains pancreatic lipase, which breaks down bean oil into fatty acids and glycerol. When food enters the ileum, where succus entericus is secreted, it contains the enzymes maltase, peptidase, and lipase, which break down the remaining lipids (oil) into fatty acids and glycerol, which are then absorbed through the lacteals of the villi. Maltase breaks down maltose into glucose, which is then absorbed.

The Digestion and Absorption Process

Even before you put food in your mouth, digestion starts. Your body notifies your brain that it is time to eat when you feel hungry. Your body's ability to prepare for eating is influenced by sights and odours. Your brain receives a message when you smell food. The mouth is subsequently instructed by the brain to prepare, and you begin to salivate in anticipation of a mouthwatering meal.
