8 1/4 -> 1/6 hour
How many pages -> 1 hour?

You can use the cross multiply method
\frac{8 \ \:\frac{1}{4} \times 1 }{ \frac{1}{6} }


= 49.5 pages

Or you change the hours to minutes.
1/6 hour is 10 min.
[1/6 × 60 = 10 ]
Either way you'll get the same answer.
