Find the equilibrium point for the pair of demand and supply functions. Here q represents the
olya-2409 [2.1K]

The equilibrium point for the pair of demand and supply function is 100

We have been two linear function, one is linear supply function and other is linear demand function.

In general , linear supply function is given as:

                            Qs = x + yP

                       Where , Qs = quantity supplied

                                        x = quantity

                                        P = price

And linear demand function is given is :

                             Qd = x + yP

                      Where , Qs = quantity supplied

                                        x = quantity

                                        P = price

According to the question,

                   Linear supply function is q = 300 + 5x

          And  linear demand function is q = 4800 – 40x

To find the equilibrium point we will put two quantities equal, that is,

                                 Qs = Qd

                      300 + 5x = 4800 – 40x

                        5x + 40x = 4800 – 300

                          45x = 4500

                             x =  100

Hence the equilibrium point is 100

Square of (1\4A+1\4B)^2
miskamm [114]

Answer:4a = 2⋅(2a)⋅1 4 a = 2 ⋅ ( 2 a) ⋅ 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Factor 4a^2-4a+1. 4a2 − 4a + 1 4 a 2 - 4 a + 1. Rewrite 4a2 4 a 2 as (2a)2 ( 2 a) 2. (2a)2 − 4a+1 ( 2 a) 2 - 4 a + 1. Rewrite 1 1 as 12 1 2. (2a)2 − 4a+12 ( 2 a) 2 - 4 a + 1 2. Check that the middle term is two times the product of the numbers being squared in the first term and third term. 4a = 2⋅(2a)⋅1 4 a = 2 ⋅ ( 2 a) ⋅ 1.

Jerome is going to draw a marble from the bag shown below, replace it, and then draw another marble. What is the probability tha
alexira [117]
Marbles in a bag: 3 green, 4 yellow, 5 blue, 8 pink.

Event A - get a green or yellow marble
Event B - get a pink marble

Events A and B are independent because we draw a marble from a bag with 20 marbles in both cases.
P(A)= \frac{3+4}{3+4+5+8}= \frac{7}{20}
\\P(B)= \frac{8}{3+4+5+8}= \frac{8}{20} = \frac{2}{5}

Probability of combined events is
P(A) \times P(B)=\frac{7}{20} \times \frac{2}{5} =\frac{7}{50}
