Latches are meant to secure the access to your house. The latches made out of wood are susceptible to damage from termites, and also are breakable by hit by axe, file, or saw. Hence wooden latches are avoided. The latches that are made of aluminium are harder to break with physical forces than the wooden latches. However, aluminium is a metal that undergoes corrosion in a acidic environment.  Aluminium latches can be easily broken by pouring acid on them. Thus one should avoid install latches made of aluminium in home.

The energy that is released by the hydrolysis of atp by actin is used for:
anyanavicka [17]
The energy released is used for assembly of actin filament with myosin head. when myosin is attached to ATP its heads cannot bind to actin and therefore muscle will remain in relaxed form. However during muscle contraction an enzyme referred to as ATPase hydrolyses ATP to ADP and organic phosphate in the process releasing energy. The energy released changes the position of head of myosin which facilatate its binding with actin. Myosin moves towards m-line dragging actin along with it reducing the length of sarcomere leading to muscle contraction.

Which of the following statements about the movement of lipids in the bilayer is true? a) Lipids are free to flip from one plane
galben [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is b) "All of the above".

Explanation:

Nowadays it is known that the lipid bilayer of the cells is not static, actually, the modern Fluid-Mosaic membrane model establishes that the lipids move constantly within the lipid bilayer. The lipids are able to rotate within its axis, the lipids are able to movement laterally moving from one site to the other within the same plane, and also can move from a plane to the other plane in what is known as transverse "flip flop" movement.
