Answer: Boredom is not a common reason.

Explanation:

I don’t think being bored is the most common reason for people’s bad behaviour. Sure they can use it as an excuse when the main reason behind their actions are much more deeper but they don’t want others to know about it.

However, I think people do bad things out of emotional damage, heavy resentment, anxiety leading them to bad decisions or just a psychiatric condition. On this case, I think the last option is the one that suits best.

Nationwide Smoking Ban
TiliK225 [7]
Smoking bans, or smoke-free laws, are public policies, including criminal laws and occupational safety and health regulations, that prohibit tobacco smoking in certain areas, usually in enclosed workplaces and other public spaces. Such policies are usually enacted to protect people from the negative health effects of passive smoking or second-hand smoke (SHS) exposure

read the excerpt from iqbal. suddenly i realized that i had to get back to work. my mind had wandered. just in time i managed to
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer:

c. In his left hand he held a sack, and his right hand held the arm of a boy in an iron grip.

Explanation:

Based on the excerpt from the story of Iqbal, we can easily know that the master was a cruel man just by the way he held the young boy's arm. The very word "an iron grip" gives a strong indication of someone holding onto something that wouldn't be let go easily. This sentence

In his left hand he held a sack, and his right hand held the arm of a boy in an iron grip

gives the character of Hussain, the master as someone who is cruel and representation of someone who was to be obeyed by the children.

When an author uses the literal meaning of a word in the text they are

Please help
dem82 [27]

Answer:

Referring to the dictionary defenition of a word

Explanation:

This is because the author is using the word in a literal meaning and not in an expressional meaning like a poet does.

Example. The Main Character cannot break through the wall, Its pretty tough.

This is literal. The word " tough " is being used in its dictionary meaning since it means Hard.

Meanwhile a poet might use this as an expression of something else like

" He was heartbroken, the woman he loved had shattered his soul and it was a tough experience for him "

Tough is used as an emotional feeling of being broken down instead of its dictionary counterpart.

Hope it helped, sorry if Im wrong.
