Plymouth colony was the first permanent English settlement in North America. The Plymouth Company, a company in England had an agreement to finance the settlers' trip to North America. The settler, also known as The Pilgrims, would repay the company from profits they made from agriculture, timber, fur, and fish. But when they already arrived in America, they faced many problems to settle in because of the weathers and many diseases. The colonists struggled for many years to make any money and were deeply in debt to their investors, the Plymouth Company who paid their trip to North America. In 1691 Plymouth Colony and Massachusetts Bay merged

The Massachusetts Bay Colony founded in 1620 by John Winthrop, a puritan. It was the English settlement along the east coast of North America. The Massachusetts colony was dominated by puritans. Puritans were English Protestant who practices purifying the Church of England by eliminating the Catholicism aspects. Most of these puritans came from a wealth class and emigrate to America for religious freedom, they want to practice their religion without persecution. The economic of Massachusetts were better than the Plymouth Colony.

The Byzantium Empire had a brutal military. The Military consisted of both a Navy and Army.  The army was well known and defended the shores and land of the Empire without mercy.

The Empire was divided into the Eastern Roman Empire and the Western Roman Empire.
