Selection of a Jury
Several people are asked questions to determine if they will be able to have an unbiased opinion about a case. The juror listen to evidence that is given in court to determine the verdict of the case.
Death of those carrying the illness and increased medical habits
Strengths of AoC
- landmark in government
- provided loose confederation (at least some disjointed unity)
- kept alive the ideal of Union, held states together until they were ready to implement a strong constitution
- congress still effective in passing land laws (Land Ordinance of 1785, Northwest Ordinance)
Negatives of AoC
- Congress was extremely weak: no power to regulate commerce, states left free to establish laws that were different and in conflict with one another (tariffs, navigation)
- no tax-collection program.
This is true because even if that grandparent was to change from Jewish to Christianity they would still be considered Jewish and the Nazis thought it was passed down to the grandchildren.
