It is itself a solution, which makes 1 solution.
If, however, you had something like -34 + x = -34 + x, or -34x = -34x, as two examples, you might have infinite solutions, but unless a variable x, which is capable of holding infinite values, is included in your equality, then it must have a finite number of solutions.

It should only be 1? Unless I'm missing something here...

Hope that helps! :)

At another sanctuary, the number of nesting turtles decreased by 10%. This year there were 234 nesting turtles. How many nesting
Alex

Answer:

260 nesting turtles were at this sanctuary last year

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The number of nesting turtles decreased = 10%

Number of turtles  present in sanctuary this year = 234

To Find:

Number of nesting turtles present at this sanctuary last year= ?

Solution:

Let the number of nesting turtles present at this sanctuary last year be x

Then,

x- 10% of x = Number of turtles  present in sanctuary this year

x- 10% of x = 234

x- (\frac{10}{100} \times x) = 234

x- (\frac{1}{10} \times x) = 234

x- (\frac{x}{10}) = 234

\frac{10x-x}{10}=234

\frac{9x}{10}=234

9x=234\times 10

9x=2340

x=\frac{2340}{9}

x= 260
