An algebraic expression that always has the same value regardless of the value of the variable is called an identity. <span>An identity, in mathematics, is a relation between A and B that would result to an equality of the two. It should be expressed as A = B wherein both values has some variables that would produce the same value no matter what will be the values used for the two functions. An example would be

</span>

5(2x+3)=9x+15+x

Assuming x would be 1, when we simplify the equation above, both sides would have the same value of 25.

5(2(1)+3)=9(1)+15+1

25 = 25

The length of a rectangle is five times its width.
Marizza181 [45]

ANSWER

96 yd

EXPLANATION

Let the width of the rectangle be w, then, the length of the rectangle will be:

l = 5w

The area of a rectangle is calculated using the formula:

Area=l \times w

Area=5w \times w

Area=5 {w}^{2}

It was given that, the area of the rectangle is 320yd²

320=5 {w}^{2}

Divide both sides by 5.

64 =  {w}^{2}

Take square root of both sides to get:

w = 8yd

This means the length is

l = 5 \times 8 = 40yd

The perimeter of a rectangle is given by:

P=2(w+l)

We plug in the values to get:

P=2(40 + 8) = 2 \times 48 = 96yd

The perimeter is 96yd

Below is the graph of f9x0= 2in(x) how would you describe the graph of g(x) = 4in(x)?
FinnZ [79.3K]
Please, next time, please share the graph referred to in the problem statement.

You are comparing f(x)=2 ln x and g(x) = 4 ln x.  The two graphs look the same, except that the amplitude (rise) in 4 ln x is exactly twice that in 2 ln x.

Thus, if 2 ln x = 3, 4 ln x = 2(3) = 6.
