Michael is drawing a card from a standard deck of 52 cards, which includes 4 aces: the ace of clubs, the ace of diamonds, the ac

e of hearts, and the ace of spades. For each trial, he draws a card, records which card he drew, and returns it to the deck. He draws an ace 332 times. Of the times he draws an ace, which of the following would be a good estimate for the number of times the ace drawn is the ace of hearts?
A. 93
B. 145
C. 229
D. 56

X = number of times an ace was drawn.
y = the number of suits.
z = the outcome we are looking for.
We are solving for z.

x ÷ y = z

332 ÷ 4 = z

z = 83

It is not likely that exactly 25% of the drawings are going to be the ace of hearts, so the best answer is A. 93

Select "Growth" or "Decay" to classify each function.
allochka39001 [22]

1. The growth rate equation has a general form of:

y = A (r)^t

The function is growth when r≥1, and it is a decay when r<1. Therefore:

y=200(0.5)^2t                    --> Decay

y=1/2(2.5)^t/6                  --> Growth

y=(0.65)^t/4                       --> Decay

2. We rewrite the given equation (1/3)^d−5 = 81

Take the log of both sides:

(d – 5) log(1/3) = log 81

d – 5 = log 81 / log(1/3)

d – 5 = - 4

Multiply both sides by negative 1:

- d + 5 = 4

So the answer is D

fiona draws a 24 centimeter rectangle.gregory draws a 24 square inch rectangle.whose rectangle is in area .how do you know
Valentin [98]

Answer:

Therefore we come to a conclusion that,

Gregory's Rectangle is in Area.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Fiona draws a 24 centimeter rectangle.

Gregory draws a 24 square inch rectangle.

To Find:

Whose rectangle is in area = ?

Solution:

Rectangle has a dimension as

Length and Width which are in meters, centimeters, inches, feet, units, etc.

For Area

Area\ of\ Rectangle=Length\times Width

here units are getting Multiplied so it becomes

unit × unit = unit²  = square units

m × m = m² =square meter

inch × inch = inch² =square inches

Hence Area is calculated in square units.

Therefore we come to a conclusion that,

Gregory's Rectangle is in Area.

Natalie was supposed to use PEMDAS (as we all do when doing math), which stands for: Parentheses, Exponents, Mulitplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction. However, Natalie subtracted 1 from 2 before multiplying 6 by 4 and dividing it by 2.

Hope this helps!!
