Middle-latitude cyclones are fueled by air up high in the atmosphere.

Middle-latitude cyclones are huge moving atmospheric cyclonic storms that cover a wide area (about 2000 kilometers) with low atmospheric pressure. Middle-latitude cyclones are fueled by air that can be found high up in the atmosphere. They occur due to the interaction of air masses (warm tropical and cold polar) at the polar front. A middle-latitude cyclone usually exists for about 3 to 10 days travelling in a usual west to east direction.

Around the year 1800, it was discovered that fossils are arranged in comparable patterns within the layers of the Earth. Name 3
frez [133]

Answer:

Study of comparative anatomy emerged in the 18th century and led to establishment of relationship between species based on the common traits

Explanation:

The three major events that occurred after this discovery are –

a) Discovery of the fact that the age of earth is much higher than the age of earth as found in previous theories of continental drift theory

b) The age of the oldest fossils was determined and based on that relative age of all species (as found in fossils) was determined.

c) The determination of age of fossil helped to find the gaps in the evolutionary tree and hence provoked search of these missing species.

The study of comparative anatomy started somewhere around 1800 when George Cuvier emerged as father of comparative anatomy

Based on comparative anatomy study, scientists such as Buffon and Lamarck worked on establishing relationship between species based on the common traits shared between them

HELP PLZZ!!!!
Delvig [45]

Answer:

The option A is the correct option. The fungi share a mutualistic association with the trees.

Explanation:

Mutualism or interspecific cooperation is the way two organisms of different species exist in a relationship in which each individual fitness benefits from the activity of the other. And in this case, both plant and fungi are benefited by each other. The plant provides food and habitat for the living of fungi and fungi, in turn, decompose dead organic matter to provide simple compounds to plants.

While in commensalism only one either plant or fungi can be benefited. And it is also not a parasitic interaction.

In which isotope is the strong nuclear force not strong enough to balance electrostatic forces between protons? Carbon-13 hydrog
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

The correct answer is "uranium-238".

Explanation:

Uranium-238, is the most abundant isotope of the element uranium. Uranium-238 has not enough nuclear force to balance electrostatic forces between protons, and as a result, it is a radioactive isotope and its losing energy because of the spontaneous breakdown of its atomic nucleus. Uranium-238 has a half-life of 4.5 billion years and is used as fuel in nuclear reactors as well as for dating purposes.

In some instances, the levels of LDL cholesterol exceed the ability of the body to maintain homeostasis, and as a result, the ex
GREYUIT [131]

Atherosclerosis

Explanation:

Correct order of the sequence of events that leads to atherosclerosis is:

c, d, b, a

Development of atherosclerosis is caused by a high concentration of LDL‐cholesterol in the blood, and lowering the level of LDL‐cholesterol reverses atherosclerosis thus preventing cardiovascular disease

Cholesterol is the key component of arterial plaques which gave rise to the cholesterol hypothesis for the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis

Population studies have shown that elevated levels of both LDL cholesterol and apolipoprotein B (apoB) 100, which is the main structural protein of LDL, are directly associated with risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular events
