A.  Chromosomes are made of DNA.

Chromosome can be described as the thread like structure that is made up of the chemical substance DNA ( deoxyribonucleic acid). When DNA is tightly packed and wrapped around proteins called histones, it form a structure in a threadlike form called chromosome.

On the other hand, DNA is considered as the genetic material of living organisms.

It is made up of small units called nucleotides. A nucleotide is hat is composed of -

1)nitrogenous base, which can be Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, Cytosine .

2) Phosphate group, and 3) Deoxyribose sugar ( pentose sugar).

Thus, option A.  Chromosomes are made of DNA. is the right answer.
