K= 8. If you look at the pattern each x value is multiplied by 8 to give you the y value. You could also solve it by:

40/5=k

you could do this with any of the x or y values and still end up with 8.
The total number of ribbons is 8 because 4 + 3 + 1 is 8
The number of green ribbons is 3
That means that 3 out of the 8 ribbons are green
Answer: 3/8
If you could send an image that is clearer I will be able to help you more, but for what we have: 3y+13=5y-5, the answer would be 2y=18 (after doing all your algebra). Then you would divide both sides by 2 and get y=9. After this you can plug in 9 for every y and find the angles/measures of all sides!

Since both equations already have y isolated, we are able to simply set the right side of both equations equal to each other. Since we know that the value of y must be the same, we can do this.
-2x + 1 = 2x - 3
1 = 4x - 3
4 = 4x

Then, we need to plug our value of x back into either of the original two equations and solve for y. I will be plugging x back into equation 2 above.
