Do the same process for each of the 3

you have miles per how many minutes and you need miles per hour
you know 60 minutes make 1 hour  convert the minutes to hours
this will gives you miles per equivalent hour
you need miles per 1 hour

Here is number 1
1) 5 miles in 20 minutes
    5 miles in (20/60) hr  = 5 miles in 1/3 hr
to get 1 hr multiply by 3
equation so keep the balance
5 * 3 = 15
rate = 15 miles per hour.

same process for the others

The price of a telephone reduced form Rs 3500 to Rs 3200. What percentage is decreased from its original price?
KIM [24]

Given :-

  • The price of a telephone reduced form Rs 3500 to Rs 3200.

To Find :-

  • Percentage decrease from it's original price .

Solution :-

Here the initial cost is Rs 3500 and the new cost is Rs 3200. So the decrease in its price is ,

→ Decrease = Rs 3500 - Rs 3200

→ Decrease = Rs 300

Now we may find the % change in its price by ,

→ Decrease in cost/Initial cost * 100 %

→ Rs 300 /Rs 3500 * 100 %

→ 8.57%

<u>Hence</u><u> </u><u>the </u><u>price</u><u> </u><u>is </u><u>decreased</u><u> </u><u>by </u><u>8</u><u>.</u><u>5</u><u>7</u><u>%</u><u> </u><u>.</u>

I hope this helps.
