Which points are on the graph of the inverse?

Mathematics

The points (1,-1) and (0, 0) lie on the line y=x and will be included on both graphs.

When a graph is inversed, the coordinates are also flipped. (-9, 3) also switches the sign, which is not a part of the inverted graph.

The other option (4, 2) is a flip on the given coordinates (2, 4) and would be present on the inverted graph.

The difference of a function and its inverse is found by switching x and y
so if the function is (2,3)...then its inverse is (3,2)

(4,2)....correct

Amoeba dapat membelah diri menjadi 2 setiap 20 menit . Jika mula mula terdapat 15 amoeba maka setelah dua jam banyaknya amoeba a
leva [86]
<span>Amoeba splits 3 times an hour. If Amoeba can split into two every 20 mins then if you divide 60 mins (which would be an hour) by 20 mins (the time they split) you would find that Amoeba can split 3 times in an hour. The question asks how many times it can split in two hours. To find this you have to multiply the 3 times 2. This means that a single Amoeba can split 6 times in two hours. There are 15 Amoeba which means if you take 15 Amoeba time 6 in two hours and 90 would be your answer. There will be 90 Amoeba after the two hours.</span>

A rectangular piece of cardboard is 16y cm long and 23 cm wide. Four square pieces of cardboard whose sides are 6y cm each are c
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

Area of remaining cardboard is 224y^2 cm^2

a + b = 226

Step-by-step explanation:

The complete and correct question is;

A rectangular piece of cardboard is 16y cm long and 23y cm wide. Four square pieces of cardboard whose sides are 6y cm each are cut away from the corners. Find the area of the remaining cardboard. Express your answer in terms of y. If your answer is ay^b, then what is a+b?

Solution;

Mathematically, at any point in time

Area of the cardboard is length * width

Here, area of the total cardboard is 16y * 23y = 368y^2 cm^2

Area of the cuts;

= 4 * (6y)^2 = 4 * 36y^2 = 144y^2

The area of the remaining cardboard will be :

368y^2-144y^2

= 224y^2

Compare this with;

ay^b

a = 224, and b = 2

a + b = 224 + 2 = 226

What is the equation of the function that is graphed as line a?
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

We see that the line intersects the y-axis at -1.  As a result, we need to choose an equation with -1, either B or C.  We see that the different is the slope.  For choice B, the slope is \frac{1}{3}, meaning that every unit up equates to 3 blocks to the right.  Counting along the line, we see that this is correct.
