Answer:

The correct answer will be Nucleotides.

Explanation:

Both DNA and RNA are the nucleic acids which act as genetic material of the cell.

Both nucleic acids, DNA and RNA are made of monomer unit called nucleotides or nucleoside monophosphates. Every nucleotide is made up of three components: a nitrogenous base, a pentose (5-carbon) sugar, and a phosphate group.

Monomer units shows 2 differences in both nucleic acids :

1. Nitrogenous bases- in DNA bases are  guanine, adenine, thymine and cytosine or while RNA differs by 1 base which is uracil instead of thymine.

2. Pentose sugar- in DNA sugar is deoxy-ribose due to loss of one oxygen group from 2'OH while in RNA it is ribose with 2'OH.

thus, Nucleotides is the correct answer.

Smog is an abiotic factor affecting a biotic factor(s).

This is because smog isn't a living organism so it is abiotic while humans are multicellular organisms so therefore, they are biotic factors.

Smog has a negative effect on many biotic factors.

Populations of coastal lodgepole pine are separated along an environmental gradient of soil pH that changes from neutral pH near

Answer:

Parapatric speciation

Explanation:

There are different types of speciation. Parapatric speciation consists of new species evolving from a continuous distribution. That is, there is no physical barrier that might impede the gene flow,  in fact, it might continue during the speciation process.

There is an environmental gradient that determines different phenotypes for different environmental conditions. One phenotype is more adapted to one of the distribution extremes than the other phenotype. In the exposed case, the environmental gradient is given by the differences in pH.

In the border between the environmental extremes, there is the primary hybrid zone, where both phenotypic forms might meet and hybridize.
