Hello!

All of the interior angles of an octagon equal 1080°. If all of the angles are congruent each one would be 135°, as 1080/8=135.

I hope this helps!

The function A = 15x - x2, where x is the width in yards, gives the area A of a llama pen in square yards. Make a table using 1/
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:

The width which gives the greatest area is 7.5 yd

Step-by-step explanation:

This is an application of differential calculus. Given the area as a function of the width, we simply need to differentiate the function with respect to x and equate to zero which yields; 15-2x=0 since the slope of the graph is zero at the turning points. Solving for x yields, x=7.5 which indeed maximizes the area of the pen

The fox population in a certain region has a continuous growth rate of 6 percent per year. It is estimated that the population i
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

P(t) = 9800(1.06)^t

P(8) = 15620

Step-by-step explanation:

For growth the equation is

y = ab^x  where a is the initial value, b = 1 plus the growth percentage, and x is the number of years

P(t) = 9800 (1+.06) ^t

P(t) = 9800(1.06)^t

from 2000 to 2008 is 8 years

P(8) = 9800(1.06)^8

15619.71113040224768

We can only have whole foxes

P(8) = 15620
