I would say that this is true, because an "end of pipe" remedy is used to describe methods used to remove already formed contaminants from many sources (they can remove contaminants from air, water, waste, product or similar). Seeing that your question implies removing air emissions, I'd say it is a good example of an "end of pipe" remedy. Hope this helps!

Answer:

True,

Explanation:

End-of-pipe (EOP) remedy is a treatment process in which the waste matter generated by any system is treated/processed before discharging it into the environment.

These methods are used to remove contaminants that have already formed in the stream of air, water, waste, etc. at the last stage of process before disposing.

Here in this case also, particulates from the smokestack is removed at the last stage before releasing the emission into the air.

Thus, the given statement is true.

Paclitaxel affects not only cancer cells, but normal cells as well. Would the effects of Paclitaxel be seen first in organs that
Svetlanka [38]

Answer: The most affected would be organs that have QUICKLY dividing cells (like the intestine and hair follicles).

Explanation:

Cancer cells are cells that divides uncontrollably giving rise to a mass of tissue called tumour. They grow faster than a normal cell in an uncoordinated manner, and continues to grow after the initial stimulus has ceased.

Paclitaxel is a drug that is approved for the treatment of cancer affecting different parts of the body. It's a microtubule-stabilizing drug whose mechanism of action is to induce mitotic arrest in the cancer cells.

Paclitaxel in its cause of action not only affect cancer cells but normal cells as well. To justify this statement, as stated earlier, the mechanism of action of paclitaxel is to induce mitotic arrest. Therefore the cells of organs where rapid mitosis occurs would be most affected. Skin cells, hair follicles and the cells lining our intestines (epithelial cells) all have high rates of mitosis as these tissues constantly need to be replaced.

Which hypothesis most likely explains the results at 60°C and 70°C? O A. The substrate has been used up because of the high temp
Leni [432]

Answer: Option B

The enzyme has changed shape because of high temperature.

Explanation:

Enzymes are biological catalysts in living organisms that speed up the rate of chemical reactions.

High temperature changes the shape of enzymes.

Increase or high temperature lead to decrease in enzymes activities. This is due to enzyme protein been denatures by high temperature which is the breaking of molecular bonds within the enzyme protein. When the enzymes bonds are broken, the shape of the enzymes changes and they no longer act as catalysts.
