you can look at the values of each number in the ordered pair.
(+,+) is quadrant 1
(-,+) is quadrant 2
(-,-) is quadrant 3
(+,-) is quadrant 4
and remember the quadrants are numbered in a "C" shape (you can see an example of that "C" shape in the second picture
