Dynamic regulation is required for maintaining homeostasis.Explain how a cellular mechanism that regulates the quantity of a bio
Troyanec [42]

The homeostasis of the human body works like a machine set at a particular standard. If the factors deviate from the standard values, the homeostatic mechanism come into action.

For example, if a cell requires certain protein, the respective genes get a signal and get activated. The cell start synthesizing the protein and when sufficient amount is made, there is a feedback loop, which allows the same protein to stop the synthesis as well. A lot of organs and cellular systems are involved in regulating the synthesis of this protein.

This is similar to the cooling system. If we set the temperature of the cooling system to certain degree, it will start cooling the room till the required temperature is reached. As soon as the temperature is acquired, the system cut-off automatically and the required temperature is maintained.

Cross sections of different areas of the same plant show cells with very
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

C. The cells in these two areas have different functions.

Explanation:

The plant tissues are classified into three major systems: vascular, epidermic, and root systems. The vascular system is formed by tissues referred to as xylem and phloem. The epidermis is composed of superficial tissues that cover plant organs (i.e., leaves, stem, roots, etc). Finally, the root system is formed by tissues whose function is to supply to other plant tissues and store nutrients. Moreover, the plant tissues are also classified into meristematic and permanent tissues. In this case, it is reasonable to suppose that structurally different plant cells that are located at different areas of the plant will have distinct functions.

mixas84 [53]

Answer:

The structure of proteins is complex and unique, and only specific molecules can interact with their surface features. The natural shape of each protein is termed the native state. When proteins are exposed to heat, acid, or alcohol, their shape is disrupted and they become nonfunctional or denatured.

Explanation:

Physical agents such as heat, and chemicals such as alcohol and acids cause protein denaturation, that is, a loss of the spatial conformation and structure of the proteins and with this their functionality. Depending on the intensity of the event there may be total loss of function. The three-dimensional structure of a protein is basic for the protein to perform its function correctly.
