Mathematics
1 answer:
Goryan [66]3 years ago
8 0

Answer:

33 students

Step-by-step explanation:

nr of boys-b

nr  of girls-g

b/g=4/7

*7       *7

7b/g=4

*g       *g

7b=4g

we know  b+g=24.....40

                 *4         *4

 4b+4g=between 96(24*4)   and 160(40*4)

but  4g=7b

4b+7b= 96.......160

11b=96.....160

but  multiple of 11  could be 99,110,121, 132, 143, 154

then b could be 9,10,11,12,13 or 14

if  b=12

7b=4g so 7*12=4*g then   g=7*12/4=84/4=21

then  12+21=33  students

Write a ratio for the following word phrase. Write fractions in lowest terms.42 in. to 6 ft
ollegr [7]
42 feet to 6 feet can be written as both ratio and a fraction:

42:6
42/6

If we look at the fraction, we can clearly see that we can simplify it:

42/6 = 7/1 = 7

So we can write the ratio in its lowest terms as 7:1.

Find the equation of a line passing through the point (2, 3) and having a slope of 3.
Delvig [45]

Answer:

The answer to your question is the letter B) y = 3x - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

Point = (2, 3)

slope = m = 3

Process

To solve this problem just substitute the values given in the slope-point equation.

Formula

               y - y1 = m(x - x1)

   x1 = 2      y1 = 3

-Substitution

              y - 3 = 3(x - 2)

-Expand

              y - 3 = 3x - 6

-Solve for y

             y = 3x - 6 + 3

-Result

             y = 3x - 3
