We are going to multiply 5 by 2 and 3/8. First we are going to make the 5 a fraction so it will be easier to work with. So we will have 5/1 times 2 and 3/8. If it would be easier for you, you could make 2 and 3/8 into an improper fraction so that you aren't multiplying a mixed number with a regular fraction.
