Which organelles are found in a plant cell? Check all that apply. Endoplasmic reticulum centrioles cell wall vacuoles lysosomes
Shalnov [3]

Answer: Endoplasmic reticulum, cell wall, vacuoles, lysosomes, mitochondria, chloroplasts and cell membrane.

Explanation: Following are the organelles found in plant cells.

Endoplasmic reticulum is the membrane bound organelle found in both plants and animals cells. The endoplasmic reticulum forms a network of canals it helps in transport of material in and out of the cell.

Cell wall is a rigid structural layer which forms an envelope around a cell. It is a rigid structural layer which is composed of cellulose. It provides protection to the cell and exhibit pores which facilitates the transfer of materials to pass to and from the cell membrane.

Cell membrane is a layer that surrounds the cell and separate it from the external environment. It is a selectively permeable structure which controls the material which is going in and out of the cell.

Vacuoles are membrane bound fluid filled organelles which store materials which are not required by the cells and helps in the waste disposal. They store materials like water, food, sugars, minerals and other waste products.

Chloroplasts are the organelles specifically found in the plant leaves. They have special pigment called as chlorophyll that traps the light energy from sun to conduct photosynthesis.

Mitochondria are tube like organelles these are the called as the powerhouse of the cell. Their function is in cellular respiration. They break the sugar molecules to produce ATP as a source of energy.

Lysosomes are the small sac like structures they exhibit a single membrane which contains strong enzymes which are capable of digesting cellular wastes. They also called as suicidal bags.

Centriole is an organelle which is not found in the plant cell. It is only found in the animal cells, their is a pair of centriole,  which are minute cylindrical organelles near the nucleus. These helps in the development of spindle fibers during cellular division.

Chloramphenicol is a drug used to treat superficial eye infections such as bacterial conjunctivitis and otitis externa. It was also used to treat typhoid fever and cholera. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic and belongs to the class of antibacterial agents that inhibit protein synthesis.

Chloramphenicol is used to treat serious infections in different parts of the body. It may also be given with other antibiotics. However, Chlorum phenicole should not be used to prevent colds, flu, other viral infections, sore throats, other mild infections, or infections.

Examination of your slide will show that a few nuclei do not appear next to a cell wall
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:

"Examination of slide will show that a few nuclei do not appear next to a cell wall in onion cell. Could you explain that observation? "

Answer:

You are visualizing the onion cell during mitosis interphase. At that time, cells may have multiple nuclei and some of them may not be visible near the cell wall.

Explanation:

Experiments with onion roots are common when we want to visualize the phases of the cell cycle or to visualize chromosomes and cell nuclei.

If after the experiment with an onion cell you are unable to visualize the cell nuclei near the cell wall, it means that you are visualizing the cells during the interphase of mitosis. At that time, cells may have multiple nuclei and some of them may not be seen near the cell wall.
