Rey repeated the scales. His manipulation of the keys was becoming less of a struggle, and the tuba was making sounds that were

almost musical. The low notes still gave him pause, though, so he attempted them again. After countless repetitions, his room boomed with the tuba’s brassy blare. He held the last note until he was out of breath, and as he exhaled, he heard his mother say from downstairs, “That one sounded good!”

Answer:

Option B. Based on the evidence provided, readers can conclude that Trey is determined.

Explanation:

The excerpt is an account of how Rey is practicing and rehearsing playing the tuba in his bedroom. By reading it, readers can conclude that Rey is determined, as he does not give up and keeps on practicing until he starts to see positive results, and even his mom gives him the opinion that he is playing the tuba well.

Determination is the ability that someone has to continue trying to do something, even if it is difficult to do so.

in A poem to my daughter why would Yeats want his daughter to “think opinions are accursed”? How might this differ if he had a s
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

I think Yeats wants his daughter to “think opinions are accursed” so that she doesn’t give in to other people’s thought’s about her. It is so hard to ignore other people’s opinions, but once she sees them as accursed, she won’t worry so much. This might differ if he had a son because boys are often not judged as much, and treated differently than girls. Normally, the negative opinion’s from other’s won't impact their reputation as much as a girl’s would be impacted.

Have you ever felt like an outsider? What made you feel that way, and how did it make you feel?
Illusion [34]

Answer:

I felt like an outsider at my school. Everyone that goes there are into different things than I am and just seem so immature. Most of my friends go to neighboring schools, I am a competition cheerleader and no one at my current school is into the sport. My practice schedule and competition schedule make it diffiult for me to make friends outside of cheer.
