Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart.
Capillaries are the vessels that connect arteries to veins.
Veins return deoxygenated blood back to the heart.

The exception to this are the pulmonary arteries and veins, the former of which carry deoxygenated blood to the lungs, and the latter of which carry oxygenated blood.

B. Vein
