Groups are the assemblage of individuals who gather together. It is a collection of individuals (two and more people with a different background) who are on the same occasion together and interact with one another. The goal of groups is to gain the same expectation. Thus, groups of individuals usually share the same expectation of the group although they might not share the common identity.  

Here are the characteristics of groups:

1.Size: groups can be called as a group if it consists of two people and more. The range of groups member is 15 to 20.  

2.Goals: groups have a specific goal which becomes the foundation of its existence.  

3.Norms: groups surely have specific rules to manage the interaction of group members.  

4.Structures: groups have their own structure based on members’ positions and roles.  

5.Interaction: groups member interact with each other through discussion, face to face communication or telephone.  

6.Roles: every group's member has specific roles, tasks, and responsibilities which are assigned by the leader.  

7.Collective identity: groups consist of separated members but collective members in the same place and time.
