Which of the following statements would the Anti-federalists agree with, based on the excerpts?
ioda

Answer:

C. Lack of a bill of rights in the new constitution is problematic is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The Anti Federalists were the politicians who were against the US constitution which was adopted in 1787. They considered the constitution to be giving too much power to the central government and they were afraid of giving too much power to single national government as the government could infringe upon the rights of citizens and states. Patrick Henry, James Winthrop and George Mason were some of the famous Anti federalists. They were afraid of the new constitution because the states were given more power in Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union while it wasn't so in the new constitution. Their influence led to the passage of bill of rights. They wanted to establish a weak Central government as was in Articles of Confederation and wanted for strong central governments.

explain why understanding historical and social context will help us interpret and understand what we read.
ipn [44]

The social, economic, political, and religious events that shaped the composition of work are referred to as the historical context.

Why is knowledge of historical context crucial?

The time frame in which a story takes place is referred to as the historical context. Social context is a reflection of how the events taking place in and around the period and location where the characters live have an impact on their actions and attitudes.

In literature, having a clear understanding of the historical background of a work's creation can help us better comprehend and value the story. Context can aid in our analysis of historical events by allowing us to better comprehend the reasons behind people's actions.

Which statement summarizes the Enslaved Persons Clause?
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

The correct answer is c) Enslaved persons who escape must be returned to their home states.

Explanation:

Slavery in the USA began in 1441, initially the slaves were Native Americans, but were later replaced by Africans.

People proclaimed slaves by their masters, should obey every order he/she gave them, many people tried to escape their slavery, but this was an unsuccessful action since there was a stipulation in the United States by the constitution called " the runaway slave clause. "

In the runaway slave clause, it demanded that all those slaves who escape to another state should be returned to their master, in the same situation that was found, which resulted in enslaved people never being free. This clause was in effect until the abolition of slavery.

stiks02 [169]

Answer:The Red River Colony (or Selkirk Settlement) was a colonization project set up in 1811 by Thomas Douglas, 5th Earl of Selkirk, on 300,000 square kilometres (120,000 sq mi) of land. This land was granted to him by the Hudson's Bay Company, which is referred to as the Selkirk Concession, which included the portions of Rupert's Land, or the watershed of Hudson Bay, bounded on the north by the line of 52° N latitude roughly from the Assiniboine River east to Lake Winnipegosis. It then formed a line of 52° 30′ N latitude from Lake Winnipegosis to Lake Winnipeg, and by the Winnipeg River, Lake of the Woods and Rainy River.
