Write a fraction less than 1, with a demoninator of 6 that is greater than 3/4

5/6 is less than 1, it has a denominator of 6, and is greater than 3/4.
How do you know its greater than 3/4?
Well lemme explain....
The easiest way to me is to first have them contain the same denominator
so what can i multiply 4 and 6 by so that they become the same number?
Well.. u can multiply 4 by 3 to get 12 and also multiply 6 by 2 to result in 12 as well. Now that both have equal denominator we need to have their numerators multiplied too.

Since we multipled the 4 by 3 we also have to multiply the 3 by 3
3/4 * 3 = 9/12
Since we multipled the 6 by 2 we also have to multiply the 5 by 2
5/6 * 2 = 10/12
Now if we compare 10/12(which was originally 5/6) and 9/12(which was initially 3/4) we can definitely say that 5/6 is greater that 3/4.
10/12 > 9/12
