How did the crusades effect england
77julia77 [94]
Richard went gallently off to war, leaving his brother, an incompetent ruler, in his stead. John was so bad that the Magna Carter was signed on his watch. That was helpful because it took some of the monarch's power away. It didn't help everyone since it only gave rights to some of the nobility, but it was a start.

That was one effect of the crusades in England. Richard the Lionhearted likely would have had the same difficulties that John had to cope with. Richard was not a great politician (he put rebellions down with force), but he was a very gifted military technician. John faced the problem of having not much of an army to resist those wanting him to sign the Magna Carta. That should get you started.

During the 1960;s, one factor that enabled mentally ill persons to move from large institutions to community settings was
S_A_V [24]
The development of medications to treat a number of the disorders suffered by the mentally ill.
Anti-psychotic medications were introduced in the late 1950s and gained wider use in the 1960s. This allowed for the treatment of symptoms such as hallucinations and other psychoses.

Another factor was the MentalRetardation Facilities and Community Mental Health Centers Construction Act, passed by Congress in 1963 and signed into law by President John F. Kennedy. The act emphasized deinstitutionalization, providing funding for community health centers and initiatives to help people stay in their communities rather than being committed to asylums for mental health problems.

As he took office in 1969, President Nixon announced that a new era of __________ with the Soviets and Chinese would replace the
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

Détente

Explanation:

Détente is a word of French origin that means to ease hostilities with an adversary.

When Nixon took office in 1969, he promoted a détente policy with the Soviet Union and China, advised by his secretary of the state: Henry Kissinger.

Nixon visited China in 1972, and met personally with Mao Zedong. This event was the start of a new relation between the U.S. and China.

He also met with Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev in 1972, and reached important agreements like the Anti-Ballistic missile treaty.

Most historians coincide that this policy of détente was successful, and helped Nixon become reelected.
