A common skin disorder, rosacea typically affects facial skin causing redness of the cheeks four head, nose and chin. Rosacea is more likely to affect persons with fair skin, who blush easily and occurs most frequently in woman, with men making up most of the acute cases. Signs of rosacea include:

  • flushing a form of facial redness that comes and goes
  • persistent redness resembling sunburn acne-like pimples and bumps without the presence of blackheads
  • very prominent blood vessels, which have higher visibility under the skin

Rosacea can be aggravated by drinking alcohol, hot foods and drinks spicy foods, anxiety and stress.
