The answer is 2.

when you solve for K you want to get away from the number with a letter. so you take 3 and subtract it from its self so it puts itself on the other side of the equation so it makes it from this -7k+3-3=-11 to this -7k=-11-3. solve it from there you get -7k=-14. now you divide the number with the letter with that letter, then you moves to the other side of the equation and there is your answer so it looks like this -7k/-7k=-14 then that leaves you with k=-14/-7 which will get you k=2
-7k+3=-11
-7k+3-3=-11
-7k=-11-3
-7k=-14
-7k/-7=-14
k=-14/-7
k=2
your answer is 2

K = 2
-7k + 3 = -11
       -3  =  -3
  -----------------
    -7k   = -14
    -7 / -14
= 2
