<span><span>5e^x + 12 = 27
5e^x = 27 - 12
5e^2 = 15
Take natutal log of both sides.

ln(5e^x) = ln15

x(ln5e) = ln15
Divide both sides by ln5e to get an approximate answer, which is always the case with logs.
NOTE: lne = 1 and so, ln5e becomes 5 times 1 or 5.
x ≈ ln15/5
x ≈ 0.54161004
Round your answer to two decimal places.
Then we get x ≈ 0.54

Use the properties of logarithms to prove log, 1000 = log2 10.
Leto [7]

Given:

Consider the equation is:

\log_81000=\log_210

To prove:

\log_81000=\log_210 by using the properties of logarithms.

Solution:

We have,

\log_81000=\log_210

Taking left hand side (LHS), we get

LHS=\log_81000

LHS=\dfrac{\log 1000}{\log 8}                  \left[\because \log_ab=\dfrac{\log_x a}{\log_x b}\right]

LHS=\dfrac{\log (10)^3}{\log 2^3}

LHS=\dfrac{3\log 10}{3\log 2}                   [\because \log x^n=n\log x]

LHS=\dfrac{\log 10}{\log 2}

LHS=\log_210                    \left[\because \log_ab=\dfrac{\log_x a}{\log_x b}\right]

LHS=RHS

Hence proved.

What is the measure of EBC ?<br> ___ degrees
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

The measure of arc EBC is 220°

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find out the measure of angle COB

we know that

m∠COB+m∠DOC=90°  -----> given problem

we have that

m∠DOC=m arc DC -----> by central angle

m arc DC=50°

so

m∠DOC=50°

Find m∠COB

m∠COB+50°=90°

m∠COB=40°

step 2

Find out the measure of arc BC

we have that

m arc BC=m∠COB -----> by central angle

m∠COB=40°

therefore

m arc BC=40°

step 3

Find out the measure of arc EBC

we know that

m arc EBC=m arc EB+m arc BC

m arc EB=180° -----> because the diameter divide the circle into two equal parts

so

m arc EBC=180°+40°=220°

Translate this sentence into an equation.
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

21+j=55

Step-by-step explanation:

It says sum, which means to add(+). So you add 21 and j (21+j) and that equals 55 (=55). Then you add all the pieces together and you get 21+j=55
