The lid is 15 by 30 so the area is 15*30 = 450 square inches

The front panel and back panel are both 30*24 = 720 square inches. The left and right panels are 24*15 = 360 square inches

Add up the front, back, left and right panel areas and we get: 720+720+360+360 = 2160

The total gray area is 2160 square inches compared to the white lid which is 450 square inches. Subtract these two values: 2160-450 = 1710

Answer: Choice B) 1710 square inches

Ryan works at at the donut shop where he makes $10.25 per hour . He also works part time at the school bookstore where he makes
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

6 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x----> the number of hours worked at the donut shop

y----> the number of hours worked at the school bookstore

we know that

x+y=20

x=20-y -----> equation A

10.25x+8.75y=196 -----> equation B

Substitute equation A in equation B and solve for y

10.25(20-y)+8.75y=196

205-10.25y+8.75y=196

10.25y-8.75y=205-196

1.5y=9

y=6 hours at the school bookstore

solmaris [256]

Hi there! Hopefully this helps!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer: 14.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First we calculate <u>3 to the power of 2</u> and get 9.
|
\/
9 + 9 - \frac{8}{2} = 14.
Now we add<u> 9 + 9</u> to get 18.
18 - \frac{8}{2} = 14.
Then, we<u> divide 8 by 2</u> to get 4.
18 - 4 = 14.
Then we subtract<u> 4 from 18</u> to get.....You guessed it,<u> 14</u>!
Find the simple interest and amount when principal = Rs. 6000, rate = 6% per annum and time = 4 years
Alinara [238K]
Given:
Principal = Rs. 6000
Rate of simple interest = 6% per annum.
Time = 4 years
To find:
The simple interest and amount.
Solution:
Formula for simple interest:
I=\dfrac{P\times r\times t}{100}
Where, P is principal, r is the rate of interest and t is the number of years.
Putting P=6000, r=6 and t=4, we get
I=\dfrac{6000\times 6\times 4}{100}
I=60\times 6\times 4
I=1440
Now,
Amount=Principal+Interest
Amount=6000+1440
Amount=7440
Therefore, the simple interest is Rs. 7440 and the amount is Rs 7440.
