The Government has three main branches:
1. Legislative Department

</span>It is responsible for making laws.

</span>It is composed of the Congress with the Senate and House of Representatives -- all are
elected by the majority of citizens.
2. Executive Department

</span>It is responsible for carrying out and enforcing
the law.

</span>It is mainly composed of the President, the
Vice-President, the Cabinet. While the President and the Vice-President is
directly elected by the people, the members of the Cabinet are nominated by the
President and approved by the Commission on Appointments.
3. Judicial
Department

</span>Its main responsibility is evaluating the laws.
<span>·
</span>It
includes The Supreme Court and all the other courts. The Supreme Court
is composed of a Chief Justice and associate justices. They are appointed by the President and approved by the Senate.
