-x + 2y = 6

6y = x + 18

Let's rewrite these equations.

-x + 2y = 6

6y - x = 18

If we multiply the second equation by -1 we can add both of them.

-x + 2y = 6

-6y + x = -18

Add:

-x + (-6y) + 2y + x = 6 + (-18)

2y - 6y + x - x = 6 - 18

-4y = -12

y = -12/-4

y = 3

Substitute y in the equation:

-x + 2y = 6

-x + 2.3 = 6

-x + 6 = 6

-x = 6 - 6

-x = 0

x = 0

Option B.

What is the electric field strength at a distance of 15 cm from a point charge that has 12
ivann1987 [24]
The formula is E= kQ/ d^2

k is 9x10^9
i changed 15 cm to 0.15 m

=> 9x10^9 x 12 OVER (0.15)^2

the answer is 4.8x10^12 N/C

but this is the electric field.

to find electric field STRENGTH, it’s E= F/q and you did not give a value for the force
