Answer:
1/12

Explanation:
<span>1/4 : 3 = (You have to divide by three, because you cut your part into 3 equal slices)
</span>1/4 : 3/1 =
1/4 x 1/3 = (When dividing by a fraction, you have to multiply by its opposite)
1/12 (Hence, the answer is 1/12)

Good morning. Let's figure this out.
I'm calling Harry, "Hairy" because it sounds better.

So, my friend Hairy here, has 1/4 of an apple pie.  Hairy wants to split 1/4 into 3. What would this call for? Division. Observe.

\frac{1}{4} /  \frac{3}{1} (We all know 3/1 = 3)

But wait, what must we do when we divide fractions? We must flip one fraction and multiply across. So instead the fraction would look a little like this:

\frac{1}{4}  (\frac{1}{3}) =  \frac{1}{12}

And that, is the answer. The fractions of each slice of Hairy's pie would be:\frac{1}{12}

You're welcome.

A circular picture is 8 inches in diameter.
velikii [3]

The formula of an area of a circle with radius r:

A=\pi r^2

Part A.

We have diameter of the circle d = 8 in. The diameter of a circle is equal two times length of a radius.

Therefore:

r=\dfrac{d}{2}\to r=\dfrac{8}{2}=4\ in

Calculate the area:

A=\pi\cdot4^2=16\pi\ in^2

Answer: C. 16π square inches.

Part 2.

Look at the picture.

Total area:

A=\pi\cdot6^2=36\pi\ in^2

Answer: C. 36π square inches

San<br> R<br> APOR is a right triangle. IF RO = 8, what is PO?<br> mios<br> 16
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

PQ = 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the cosine ratio in the right triangle and the exact value

cos60° = \frac{1}{2}, then

cos60° = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} = \frac{RQ}{PQ} = \frac{8}{PQ} = \frac{1}{2} ( cross- multiply )

PQ = 8 × 2 = 16

Which value below is included in the solution set for the inequality statement?
mixas84 [53]

You haven't provided any value, but I can tell you the solution set for the inequality.

First of all, expand both sides:

-3x+12 > 6x-6

Add 3x to both sides:

12 > 9x-6

Add 6 to both sides:

18 > 9x

Which is of course equivalent to

9x < 18

Divide both sides by 9

x < 2

So, every number smaller than 2 is part of the solution of this inequality.

Lydia has 400$ in her bank account. Each week she withdraws 10$ for spending money. She also uses 5$ each week to get credit on
Softa [21]

Answer:

400 - 15x < 300

Step-by-step explanation:

We are told that she has 400$ in her bank account.

Now, Each week she withdraws 10$ for spending money. She also uses 5$ each week to get credit on her apple account.

Total total withdrawal each week = 10 + 5 = $15

If number of weeks she has been withdrawing is x, then would have withdrawn $15x after x number of weeks.

Thus, amount left after x number of weeks is:

400 - 15x

We want to find the inequality statement can be used to determine how many weeks it will take for her bank account balance to drop below 300.

Thus;

400 - 15x < 300
