in Asia began in India. It was first called as the East Indies, where Western
Europeans first entered to Asia in search for possible trade routes to China.
This then led to the Age of Discovery where people have expanded their colonies
and empires throughout different areas in Asia. As a result, colonialism lasted
for six centuries in different Asian countries. </span>
<span>An ideal national security policy might balance the need for good relations with other countries against the need to take punitive or pre-emptive actions when necessary. This may prove difficult to achieve in reality because people of different nations may disagree on which policies are appropriate.</span>

The fourth of July is the day of freedom for the people of America. In the speech, Douglas comments on the celebration of the day and says that to celebrate such a day is very ironical.
