After chewing food the saliva covered mass that remains is called a bolus. This mass is easy to swallow and can move easily through the esophagus to the stomach. Chewing reduces the size of food and once it reaches the stomach it mixes with gastric acid which further breaks down food in the process of digestion.

a student pushes a 0.5kg lab chart with a force of 3 newtons determine the acceleration in meters per second squared of the cart
Inga [223]
From the information given, the lab cart has a mass of 0.5 kg and the student exerts a force of 3N on it. We use the formula F = MV Where F = Force, M = mass and V = velocity In our case, F = 3N (or 3 Kg m/s²) , M= 0.5 kg , V is unknown. F= MV → MV = F → V = F / M V = 3 kg m/s² / 0.5 kg V= 3 / 0.5 V = 6 m/s² Therefore the acceleration of the cart 6 m/s²

Groundwater___?<br> Is recharged by precipitation
Blababa [14]

Answer: Ground water recharge includes recharge as a natural part of the hydrologic cycle and human-induced recharge, either directly through spreading basins or injection wells, or as a consequence of human activities such as irrigation and waste disposal. Artificial recharge with excess surface water or reclaimed wastewater is increasing in many areas, thus becoming a more important component of the hydrologic cycle.
