I think it's just determining what the negative means. Negative with the x axis means to the left (because the left side is negative). Negative with the y axis is down (because the down side is negative.) So once you know that, it's obviously D because both are negative.

I hope that helped!

Malik earned $2,344.55 fixing computers. He charged $35.50 per hour. Which expression does NOT use appropriate compatible number
meriva

Answer:

A, B , C do NOT use appropriate compatible numbers to estimate the total number of hours he worked.

Step-by-step explanation:

Malik earned $2,344.55

Wages per hour $ 35.50

No of hours = Total wages / wages per hour= $2,344.55/ 35.50 = 66.043

Lets analyze all the options

A. 2,400 ÷ 30= 80

B. 2,400 ÷ 40= 60

C. 2,000 ÷ 40= 50

D. 2,000 ÷ 30= 66.67

A, B , C do NOT use appropriate compatible numbers to estimate the total number of hours he worked.

Only D uses appropriate compatible numbers to estimate the total number of hours he worked.

Weekly demand for cell phones at a Best Buy store is normally distributed, with a mean of 300 and a standard deviation of 200. T
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

The amount of safety inventory of cell phones best buy should carry is $465.277

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution

We recall that:

The weekly demand for cell phones= 300 per week

The Standard Deviation = 200 per week

The lead time or number of weeks = 2 weeks (14 days)

Thus,

Z = 95%

= 1.645

Now,

The standard deviation of lead time = Standard deviation√ *√ lead time

Which is

= 200 * √ (2) =2.82.843

So,

The safety inventory = Z * Standard deviation of the lead time

= 1.645 * 2.82.843

$465.277
