Initial deposit is ----------------------- >$7.50

 Julian fees per day for unlimited golf is-------------- >(30-10)= $20

 View table-chart attached

Julian has ------ > $375-$7.50(Initial deposit)= $367.50

Per day--------------- >$20

X-------------------- >$367.50

X=367.5/20=18.3=18 days

Julian can enjoy golf 18 days

18 days*$20+$7.50=$367.5 < $375-- ---> is ok

The number of days and the money represent a proportional relationship that can be expressed through the equation of a line

 I select two points from the table

Point A(0,7.5)

Point B (2,47.5)

The equation of the line

Y=mx+b

For x=0   y=7.5

Therefore b=7.5

For point B

47.5=m*(2)+7.5------------- >m=(47.5-7.5)/2=20

m=20

The diameter of the attic is 18ft and its height is 18ft. What's is the volume of the space in the attic
Svet_ta [14]
I attached an image with the complete question.

Answer:
volume of attic = 1526.04 ft³

Explanation:
Volume of cone can be calculated using the following rule:
Volume = \frac{1}{3} * area of base * height
Volume = \frac{1}{3} * π * radius² * height
We are given that:
π = 3.14
radius = 18/2 = 9 ft
height = 18 ft

Substitute in the equation to get the volume as follows:
Volume = \frac{1}{3} * 3.14 * (9)^2 * (18) = 1526.04 ft³

Hope this helps :)

A plane flying horizontally at an altitude of "1" mi and a speed of "430" mi/h passes directly over a radar station. Find the ra
Anika [276]

Answer:

The rate at which the distance from the plane to the station is increasing when it is 2 mi away from the station is 372 mi/h.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given information:

A plane flying horizontally at an altitude of "1" mi and a speed of "430" mi/h passes directly over a radar station.

z=1

\frac{dx}{dt}=430

We need to find the rate at which the distance from the plane to the station is increasing when it is 2 mi away from the station.

y=2

According to Pythagoras

hypotenuse^2=base^2+perpendicular^2

y^2=x^2+1^2

y^2=x^2+1               .... (1)

Put z=1 and y=2, to find the value of x.

2^2=x^2+1^2

4=x^2+1

4-1=x^2

3=x^2

Taking square root both sides.

\sqrt{3}=x

Differentiate equation (1) with respect to t.

2y\frac{dy}{dt}=2x\frac{dx}{dt}+0

Divide both sides by 2.

y\frac{dy}{dt}=x\frac{dx}{dt}

Put x=\sqrt{3}, y=2, \frac{dx}{dt}=430 in the above equation.

2\frac{dy}{dt}=\sqrt{3}(430)

Divide both sides by 2.

\frac{dy}{dt}=\frac{\sqrt{3}(430)}{2}

\frac{dy}{dt}=372.390923627

\frac{dy}{dt}\approx 372

Therefore the rate at which the distance from the plane to the station is increasing when it is 2 mi away from the station is 372 mi/h.
