Answer: The required probability is \dfrac{3}{14}

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of boys = 5

Number of girls = 3

Total number = 8

President and vice president should be girl.

So, the probability of getting a girl president and girl vice president would be :

\dfrac{^3C_1\times ^2C_1}{^8C_2}\\\\=\dfrac{3\times 2}{28}\\\\=\dfrac{3}{14}

Hence, the required probability is \dfrac{3}{14}

The first number is 7 greater than a second number. Twice the first number is 4 more than three times the second. Find the two n
coldgirl [10]

Step-by-step explanation and answer:

Setting up a system of equations would be the easiest method for this question. The first number will be x. The second number will be y. According to the question:

x+1=y

2x-4=5y

Since the first equation is already solved for y, you can plug the whole first equation in for y in the second equation, then solve for x.

2x-4=5(x+1) Distribute the 5

2x-4=5x+5 Subtract 5x from 2x

-3x-4=5 Subtract -4 from 5 (add 4 to 5)

-3x=9 Divide to get the x by itself

-3=x

Now that you have x solved for, you can plug it into the first equation (or second, if you prefer) to solve for y.

x+1=y

-3+1=y

-2=y

The figure shows a map of five streets that meet at Concord Circle. The measure of the angle formed by Melville Road and Emerson
Dovator [93]

Alright, lets get started.

Please refer the diagram I have attached.

The angle between Melville Road and Emerson Avenue is 119°.

Hawthorne Lane bisects the angle formed by Melville Road and Emerson Avenue.

So, angle between Hawthorne Lane and Emerson Avenue will be = \frac{1}{2} * 119 = 59.5°

Now, angle between Emerson Avenue and Thoreau Street is 135°.

Dickinson Drive bisects the angle formed by Emerson Avenue and Thoreau Street.

So, angle between Dickinson Drive and Emerson Avenue will be = \frac{1}{2} * 135 = 67.5°

So, the complete angle between Hawthorne Lane and Dickinson Drive will be = 59.5 + 67.5 = 127°

So, the answer is 127 °.   :    Answer

So thi sis really simple since you have an equal sign so

(n/3)-(5n/6)=1/3
to subtract fractions, make the bottom number the same
n/3 times 2/2=2n/6
(2n/6)-(5n/6) or (2n-5n)/6 so
-3n/6=1/3
multiply both sides by 6
-3n=6/3=2
-3n=2
divide both sides by 3
-n=2/3
mmultiply boht by -1
n=-2/3
tada
n=-2/3
