The answer is 4.

Since the plane is cutting through the prism to make five sides, then the original shape has less than five sides.

Five would work if you just slice across the prism. But, since a prism is a 3D figure, you can't have a prism with a 2-sided base.

A three-sided shape is a triangle, which also can't be cut into a 5 sided prism.

So, the answer would need to be 4.

<span>#1) What is the minimum number of sides that the polygon at the base of the prism must have?

Answer: I believe that the minimum number of sides that the polygon tat the base of the prism must have is FIVE. The plane probably intersected a Pentagonal Prism in order to create a section that is a polygon with five sides.

How were the designs of Pasteur’s and Redi’s experiments different?
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
I just learned this in science a month ago! Redi used a piece of meat in a jar and covered it with a cheesecloth. He got another jar of meat and left it open. He wanted to see if magots developed from flies or not. Luis Pasteur used an 'S' tube thingy and put broth inside and boiled it. Then he waited to see if broth fogged up because of dust or microorganisms. One tube was pointed upward so dust could get inside, and the other, downward. Hope this kindof explains this topic to you!

A woman with normal vision is pregnant from a man with red-green colorblindness. Can they child produce a child that has red gre
zvonat [6]

Answer:

a. Yes. It is possible for them to produce a child with red-green colorblindness.

Explanation:

Color blindness is a change in vision that is characterized by the inability to distinguish some colors, especially green from red. Like hemophilia, color blindness is an example of inheritance linked to sex.

Color blindness is determined by an X-linked recessive gene, symbolized by Xd while the dominant allele gene, which conditions normal vision, is symbolized by XD.

Thus we can conclude that it is possible that the couple, exposed in the question, have a child with red-green color blindness. As the child's father already has the recessive gene, which is likely to be passed on to the child, if the mother also has the recessive gene for color blindness, the child is likely to develop red green color blindness.
