So, its time to do some MATH!

ok so i would first approach this problem by placing the prices in order from least to greatest......um it would look something like this...(cue the math skills in my brain)

1.29,1.59,1.99,2..09, and last but most definitely not least (get it?) 2.19

so basically the median is like the MIDDLE number of your data (shout out to my fellow middle children!)

and so you may be asking "how does one figure this out?" and i will tell you that it is quite simple...

so what you got to do is cross out a number from the left and a number from the right, and you will be left with one number, which is your middle number (or in fancy maths language -the median- that was supposed to be said with a British accent, so just bear with me there :-))

and so your final answer should be....(drumroll please)

$1.99 is your median

(ta- da you are supermathematicalgeniuslevel smart)

Incomes in a certain town are strongly right-skewed with mean $36,000 and standard deviation $7000. a random sample of 75 househ
Svet_ta [14]
Since the sample is greater than 10, we can approximate this binomial problem with a normal distribution.

First, calculate the z-score:

z = (x - μ) / σ = (37000 - 36000) / 7000 = 0.143

The probability P(x > 37000$) = 1 - P(<span>x < 37000$),
therefore we need to look up at a normal distribution table in order to find
P(z < 0.143) = 0.55567
And
</span>P(x > 37000$) = 1 - <span>0.55567 = 0.44433

Hence, there is a 44.4% probability that </span><span>the sample mean is greater than $37,000.</span>

A poll found that 52% of U.S. adult Twitter users get at least some news on Twitter. The standard error for this estimate was 2.
Leya [2.2K]

Answer:

The 99% confidence interval for the fraction of U.S. adult Twitter users who get some news on Twitter is (0.46, 0.58). This means that we are 99% sure that the true proportion of all U.S. adult Twitter users who get some news on Twitter is between these two values.

Step-by-step explanation:

In a sample with a number n of people surveyed with a probability of a success of \pi, and a confidence level of 1-\alpha, we have the following confidence interval of proportions.

\pi \pm z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}

In which

z is the z-score that has a p-value of 1 - \frac{\alpha}{2}.

A poll found that 52% of U.S. adult Twitter users get at least some news on Twitter. The standard error for this estimate was 2.4%

This means that:

\pi = 0.52, \sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} = 0.024

99% confidence level

So \alpha = 0.01, z is the value of Z that has a p-value of 1 - \frac{0.01}{2} = 0.995, so Z = 2.575.

The lower limit of this interval is:

\pi - z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} = 0.52 - 2.575(0.024) = 0.46

The upper limit of this interval is:

\pi + z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} = 0.52 + 2.575(0.024) = 0.58

The 99% confidence interval for the fraction of U.S. adult Twitter users who get some news on Twitter is (0.46, 0.58). This means that we are 99% sure that the true proportion of all U.S. adult Twitter users who get some news on Twitter is between these two values.

What is the value of the expression |a + b| + |c| when a = –5, b = 8, and c = –13?
Semmy [17]
For the first problem, your answer is D, 16, because -5+8=3, and 3+ |-13|=16, because the absolute value of -13=13
for the 2nd, B is the correct answer. -4.37 is smaller than -1.63,
the 3rd one is  C, 19.  -14+19=5,
the 4th one the answer is D, -20.1 because 12.7+ -20.1=-7.4
1=D
2=B
3=C
4=D
