Natalie sets out to run 15 kilometers. Every 30 minutes she checked her pedometer to determine how far she had run. Use the data

below to create a proper scientific graph and to answer the corresponding questions.
1. What is the dependent variable?

2. What is the independent variable?

3. How many kilometers had Natalie run after 40 minutes?

4. What was Natalie’s average speed (in kilometers per hour) over the course of her run?

The answers are:

1. The dependent variable is distance as it varies with the reading time interval of 30 minutes.

2. The independent variable is the elapsed time with a fixed interval of 30 minutes.

3. Natalie had run approximately 8 Km in 40 minutes, marked in the graph. So she must have run, 15-8=7 Km after 40 minutes.

4. To calculate: Average speed, Given: Total distance = 15 Km, Total time elapsed = 150 minutes.

Time in hours will be \frac{150 minutes}{60 minutes} = \frac{15}{6}

Average speed = \frac{Distance}{Time} = \frac{15 \times 6}{15} = 6 Kmh^{-1}

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors cause an antidepressant effect by
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

C. inhibiting the breakdown of neurotransmitters in the brain

Explanation:

Monoamino oxidase (MAO) facilitates the break down and removal of neurotransmitters like nor-epinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin in brain which have excitatory effects on neurons. When these neurotransmitters are degraded by MAO, this would lead to decreased excitatory level of neurons and it will become less functionable as seen in most of the patients suffering from depression, panic disorders, social disphobia and some neurodegenerative disease.

Monoaminooxidase Inhibitors prevents the degradation of above mentioned neurotransmitters which leads to increasing their levels and concentration which allows them to work and influence on neurons effected by depression.

Which monomer is formed when the trimer C9H20O4 is broken down into its monomers?
zhannawk [14.2K]

Belonging to the large family of alcohols, propylene glycol is a chemical element widely used by the food industry thanks to its recognized emulsifying properties. It is referable to its acronym E1520. This colorless, low volatile and soluble diol is also used in many other industries. Pharmaceutical, cosmetic, aeronautic, textile industries ... Propylene glycol is involved in the composition of many polymers such as polyester. Non-toxic when inhaled, propylene glycol is used in electronic cigarette filling fluid to produce an aerosol effect comparable to that of smoke.

With respect to polypropylene glycol, each condensation of propylene glycol causes a loss of a water molecule

C3H8O2 + C3H8O2 + C3H8O2 ==> C9H20O4 + 2H2O
