Cytokinesis means the division of the cytoplasm. It is a physical process which occurs after mitosis and results in the splitting of parent cell into two daughter cells which are identical.  

During this process, the cleavage furrow is formed by the pinching in action of the cell membrane at the cell equator. This results in the separation of the cytoplasm, giving identical two daughter cells.

Thus,  the part of cell division that causes the separation of the cytoplasm is referred as Cytokinesis.
