When cattle with solid white coats (W) are mated to cattle with solid red coats (R), the offspring are roan (WR).

Answer:

1/2 or 50%

Explanation:

The question involves a single gene coding for coat color in cattle. According to the question, the allele for red coat (R) is codominant to the allele for white coat (W). This means that neither of the two alleles are dominant nor recessive over one another, hence, they are both phenotypically expressed in their hybrid offspring (Roan coat, WR).

In a cross between two roan cattle (WR), each cattle will produce gametes with W and R alleles. Using these gametes in a punnet square (see attached image), a total of four possible offsprings will be produced with genotypes: RR, WR, WR, and WW.

RR (1/4) : Red coat

WR (1/2 or 2/4) : Roan coat

WW (1/4) : White coat

Based on this, the probability of producing an offspring that will be roan from the cross between two roan cattles is 2/4 equivalent to 1/2.

klasskru [66]

Answer: c. proteasome

Explanation:

Proteasomes are extremely important multi-catalytic proteases and are involved in various cellular functions. The proteasome is an essential component of eukaryotic cells and is responsible for the ATP-dependent proteolytic degradation of most cellular proteins. They are present in the nucleus and cytosol and can represent up to 1% of total cell proteins. Proteasomes generally degrade proteins to small peptides, most of which are rapidly hydrolyzed by cytoplasmic exopeptidases. It catalyzes the rapid degradation of many enzymes, regulatory proteins, and eliminates abnormal proteins resulting from mutation or damaged proteins. The inability of this cellular organelle can lead to neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson´s disease.

Give an example of how migration affects population size?
il63 [147K]
Well, depending on how long the migration is, many of the animals (mainly birds) could get sick and die, lowering the population. They could be shot by hunters, lowering the population. The children of the population could get left behind and lose their way, lowering the population. I'm not entirely sure how the population could grow other than them finding and staying with another group of their own kind. hope I was helpful! :)

Knowing that she is already 75 years old, even though we don't know her health conditions, we can conclude that the vitamins might help her to avoid any deficiency related to minerals and vitamins, and it might also help her if she has an alimentary restriction meaning that she can't it a food that contains a needed vitamin or mineral.

Hope it helps,
