What is the appositive in this sentence?
Gre4nikov [31]
The answer would be C, "actors", because it describes the subject "we" more thoroughly, and that is actually the function of the appositive within a sentence. "Committee" is an indirect object, "we" is a subject, and "award" is a direct object.

HELPPP!!! identify one of the puns that poe uses in the cask of amontillado
garri49 [273]

One pun is where Fortunato reveals that he is a member of the Freemasons and Montresor says that he too is a "mason." It is a pun because he does not mean a "Freemason"; he means a mason, a craftsman who does brickwork, the kind Montresor plans to perform on Fortunato to seal him in the catacombs forever.

Why do books pages turn yellow or brown when done reading them?
Inga [223]
Books that are surrounded by oxygen will turn yellow, so basically, all books since oxygen is constantly surrounding us. Oxygen-rich conditions are very bad for paper, which gives them the yellow tiny. This is actually called lignin oxidation! Lignin oxidation gives it a yellow or brown colour as you said. Yellow comes first, then brown after.

I hope this helped a bit! :)
