<h2><u>Solution:</u> </h2>

<u>Steps of Statement: </u>We will solve right Angled ∆ RST. We will use Trigonometric Ratio to solve this Question.

<u>Now, In ∆ RST , Where angle C is 90° and angle D is 60° </u>

∠RTS = 60°

So, Sin 60° = RS / RT

☛ √3/2 = 2√3 / RT

☛ RT = 4

<u>Now, Let's Solve Right angled ∆ QRT </u>

tan 45° = QR / RT

☛ 1 = x / 4

☛ x = 4

<h2>Therefore, Required Value of x is <u>4</u>. </h2>

The value of the expression is -24

This is because you distribute the -4 to both of the values in the parenthesis like this:
-4(7) + -4(-1)
This can be simplified to:
-28 + 4
Which equals -24
Hope this helps!

6 men and 8 women are going to be assigned to a specific row of seats in a theater. If the 14 tickets for the numbered seats are
Sedbober [7]
If exactly one woman is to sit in one of the first 5 seats, then it means that 4 men completes the first 5 seats.
No of ways 4 men can be selected from 6 men = 6C4 = 15
No of ways 4 men can sit on 5 seats = 5P4 = 120
No of ways 1 woman can be selected fom 8 women = 8C1 = 8
No of ways 1 woman can sit on 5 seats = 5P1 = 5

No of ways <span>that exactly one woman is in one of the first 5 seats = 15 * 120 * 8 * 5 = 72,000

No of ways 14 people can be arranged in 14 seats = 14!

Probability that exactly one woman is in one of the first 5 seats = 72,000 / 14! = 0.0000008259 = 0.000083%

If -3 1/4 is subtracted from 1 1/3. What will be the result?
Alenkinab [10]

1_1/3 = 4/3

-3_1/4 = -13/4

(4/3) - (-13/4)

(4/3) + (13/4)

We can see that (4/3) + (13/4) leads to a positive answer.

Answer: choice D

Cylinders A and B are similar. The volume of cylinder A is 20mm3. Calculate the volume of cylinder B.
MrRa [10]

The question is incomplete. The complete question is :

Cylinders A and B are similar. The length of the cylinder A is 4 mm and the length of cylinder B is 6 mm. The volume of cylinder A is 20mm3. Calculate the volume of cylinder B.

Answer:

67.5 mm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Cylinder A and cylinder B are similar.

Let volume of cylinder A = 20 mm^3

We know the volume of a cylinder is given by V = $\pi r^2 h$

where, r is the radius of the cylinder

h is the height of the cylinder

We have to find the scale factor.

The length scale factor is = $\frac{6}{4}$

                                          $=\frac{3}{2}$

Area scale factor $=\left(\frac{3}{2}\right)^2$

                           $=\frac{9}{4}$

∴ Volume scale factor $=\left(\frac{3}{2}\right)^3$

                                     $=\frac{27}{8}$

Therefore, the volume of cylinder B is $=20 \times \frac{27}{8}$

                                                               = 67.5 mm^3
